Turning Disagreements into Agreements
There will be multiple times in life and in relationships where we do not agree on something. We first should spend some contemplative time with ourselves to fully understand our own perspective. We may ask ourselves: are we being defensive due to past experiences which have nothing to do with this situation or person; are we lugging around old baggage; are we creating a story to justify our reaction; or are we coming from a negative emotional state?

When we meditate, we quiet the external and internal chatter that keep us in our conscious thinking brain. When our mind is continuously thinking it uses an enormous amount of energy. It also tends to “run-away” with our thoughts. It can even take our entire being captive. There are many forms of meditation to help you be in control of your thoughts. Any time we focus on our breath it automatically turns off our thinking mind. When we play a musical instrument, we stop thinking about our issues. When we commune in nature we begin to focus on its beauty and leave the think tank behind. Meditation is about bringing your body into the vibration of love and gratitude. When we feel love and gratitude our body becomes calm, serene and at peace. Once we are in this state, we may have an experience with our life force and creator. Our existence can change from mere survival to a state of awe. Let’s explore this world of awe together.

The term “Indigenous Medicine” refers to the healing systems that have been used by various countries and ethnic populations for thousands of years, before the arrival of modern medicine.
I am so passionate about the benefits of indigenous wisdom that I opened Acu-Na Wellness Center to make available Traditional & Indigenous healing systems. We offer East Asian Medicine, Ayurveda from India and Native American Healing, to name a few. Indigenous healing systems bring much needed enhancements to our current modern medicine. Through this journey, I have redefine health as, “a disease-free physical body and a soul that lives in community, respects the earth, is connected to spirit, expresses its authentic self and lives a life of purpose.”
To further answer the call for more education and dissemination of the wisdom and ways of indigenous medicine, I have created on my Radio Station and Podcast “BLESS-UP this series on “Indigenous Medicine Teachings.”
My goal is to contribute to the dissemination of ancient wisdom from various cultures for achieving and maintaining health. Join me in this quest to keep this wisdom alive and well for generations to come.

A Yearning for Connection
Yearning for Connection. I have always had a deep yearning to connect with the divine. In this episode I will share with you my journey. You may hear some commonality in your own journey. The indigenous way of life was to live in harmony with each other, with all of nature and with spirit. They can be referred to as Earth Based spirituality where at its core honors the Earth, Nature, and all manifestations of life. We are all human and could very much benefit from taking a step back in time, learning from the wisdom keepers of indigenous cultures, relearn the ways of the past and bring forth the fundamental belief system of the importance of living in community, respecting the earth, respecting and honoring creation, and respecting each other. In my opinion, survival of humanity depends on the Healing power of Nature and humans reconnecting with spirit. Within nature, within the natural world, there exists all the materials and tenets for healing human beings. Nature is the textbook for those who care to study it and the storehouse of remedies for human ills. Illness may be seen as physical manifestation of spiritual decay. Therefore, I pose the approach that we integrate the wisdom of the past that indigenous teachings offer us and combine that with the modern knowledge we’ve acquired to create an approach to health that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of individuals. I invite you to explore indigenous teaching with me and see what traditions enhance your life and connection with the divine.

As I explore the various principles of energy, they all seem to bring me back to Einstein. Einstein’s famous Theory of Special Relativity (E=mc2) indicating mass and energy are the same physical entity and that they can be changed into one another may also be viewed as energy plus information equals mass. So with this said, you can understand then how our thoughts affect the condition of our body and the world around that we call reality. There are many principles that guide our understanding of the world and the role we play. Energy medicine creates action steps we may take to provide information to our energy field thereby affecting matter. This is the foundation of how we experience life. Let’s follow the vibration and move in rhythm!

Crystal Healing
This podcast is for those interested in incorporating crystals into their healing sessions. If you are a practitioner or client just beginning your understanding of crystals this podcast is for you. I am personally a lover of energy medicine. In my practice I incorporate acupuncture, crystals, color, essential oils, indigenous medicine, sound therapy, guided meditation, qi gong and more. In this podcast, we will discuss the chakras and some of the crystals that support them. With this information, you can begin using crystals in your treatments or in your self-care.
Crystal remedies have been developed from many different generations by many different cultures of people. These remedies use multiple concepts and notions but all have a common thread. They use the innate power of the stones to work on many different levels for many ailments. These remedies have been handed down through families, tribes, teachers, and shamans alike.
Crystals are often used for clearing your mind, helping with a physical condition, meditation and charms for protection for yourself or your home. Crystals have different metaphysical properties and vibration. Many crystals correspond and support the function of our Chakras. The word “Chakra” is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of the seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to a major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. There are seven major chakras. The energy closest to the physical body is where the meridians are found. That is why this level of energy can be manipulated through physical instruments such as acupuncture, hands, crystals, color therapy and mind/breath work to name a few.
